Hourly Contractor: Build AI Tools, Apps, and Website Features for a Real Estate Brokerage (Claude / Anthropic)

About us

Arrivva is a flat-fee real estate brokerage in California and Washington that also has an in-house mortgage arm. We're a small team that handles a high volume of detailed work: reviewing disclosure packages, writing offer memos, analyzing lender letters, pricing homes, and running several websites. We already use Claude day to day. Now we want someone to turn that into real tools that save us time.

What you'll do

  • Build AI workflows. Set up Claude to handle repeat tasks, such as reading a stack of property disclosures and summarizing the problems, or drafting a first-pass offer memo from listing details. You'll build these as working tools, not one-off chats.
  • Connect Claude to the tools we already use. That means Slack (where we run every deal), Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Calendar, so Claude can pull the right documents and post results where the team works. This is usually done with MCP connectors, which let Claude read from and act in other apps.
  • Build small internal apps. Simple tools our team can open and use, like a disclosure review tool, a closing-cost calculator, or a deal tracker.
  • Add features to our websites. We run several public sites, including informational sites and a commercial real estate site. The work includes interactive calculators, lead capture forms, search and lookup tools, and AI-powered features visitors can use.
  • Help with our data work. We're building a system that pulls in MLS listing data, a real estate database, for analysis. Experience with databases (Postgres) and APIs is a plus.
  • Document everything so we can understand, maintain, and hand off what you build.

What we're looking for

  • Hands-on experience building with the Claude API (Anthropic's developer tools) or similar AI models. Please show us something you actually built and shipped.
  • Comfort with Claude Code and MCP servers. Claude Code is Anthropic's AI coding tool. MCP servers are the connectors that link Claude to other apps.
  • Solid web development skills, such as JavaScript/TypeScript or Python, HTML/CSS, and working with APIs.
  • The ability to explain technical choices in plain English to a non-developer business owner.
  • Care with sensitive data. We handle client personal and financial information, so you should know how to keep it secure.
  • Real estate or mortgage experience is a bonus, not a requirement.

Terms

  • Hourly contract, paid for time worked
  • Remote, but you must be based in the US, Canada, or Mexico
  • Part-time and flexible, with more hours available for the right person
  • Budget: $75-150/hr depending on experience. The top of the range goes to candidates with shipped Claude/LLM integrations and strong web development skills.
  • Weekly hour cap to be agreed up front. Extra hours need approval.
  • A short written update with each invoice: what was done, what's next, and any blockers
  • All code, accounts, and API keys stay in our company's accounts. We own what you build.
  • We'll start with a paid trial project of about 5-10 hours
