Are open house signs necessary?
Fred discusses the idea of putting open house signs out. It’s inviting everyone to come into the house and it’s ridiculous. At Arrivva, we don’t use signs because we don’t want to attract attention from people who are not planning to buy. We don’t put balloons up. We don’t do anything to bring attention to the open house except put it on the online system. That’s because that is where real buyers are looking. Instead of saying I had 100 people come through the house. We can say we had 10 interested people.
Open house signs aren’t just about selling the house. Other agents use them as a way of attracting new clients. We aren’t worried about finding new clients. We are focused on your house.
